40" Mini Excavator Skeleton Bucket – 0.8T to 1.7T
Heavy-duty 40-inch skeleton bucket built in Hamilton, Ontario for mini excavators in the 0.8 to 1.7 ton class. Parallel-bar grate design sifts soil from rock and debris on the fly — ideal for rock removal, root extraction, demolition cleanup, and landscaping work.
Includes integrated split brace. At 40" of width, this bucket includes a reinforcing split brace welded into the grate structure to maintain rigidity under load. Standard on all 40" units.
Available in three shell thicknesses — 1/8" (light duty), 3/16" (standard), and 1/4" (heavy duty). Choose at checkout based on your work cycle and machine capacity. Heavier shells handle harder material, more wear cycles, and bigger machines.
Available mounts: Pin-On, Kubota Wedge, John Deere Wedge, or custom-fit to your specified machine. Tell us your make and model at checkout and we'll build to fit.

FAQ
Will this fit my machine?
This bucket is custom-fitted at the time of order. Select your mount option (Pin-On, Kubota Wedge, John Deere Wedge, or Other) and provide your make and model at checkout, or send us a photo of your stick and pins for confirmation.
What's a skeleton bucket good for?
Skeleton buckets are designed to separate soil from larger material — rock, roots, demolition debris, mulch, gravel. The parallel-bar grate lets fines fall through while keeping the rest in the bucket. Common uses: site cleanup, rock picking, root removal, landscaping prep.
Can I add a back plate or solid floor?
Yes — add a note at checkout or contact us before ordering and we'll configure to your spec.
How does the warranty work?
One year from delivery. If you have a manufacturing defect, send us photos and we'll arrange repair, replacement, or refund.
Do you offer rush fabrication?
Sometimes — call 416-220-8550 to discuss your timeline.
What's the difference between trenching, grading, and skeleton buckets?
Trenching buckets are narrow with high break-out force for clean wall finish in utility and footing work. Grading buckets are wide with a straight cutting edge for finish work, backfilling, and site cleanup. Skeleton buckets sift material on the fly — ideal for rock and root separation in landscaping.
