42" Mini Excavator Skeleton Bucket – 1.7T to 3T
Heavy-duty 42-inch skeleton bucket built in Hamilton, Ontario for mini excavators in the 1.7 to 3 ton class. Parallel-bar grate design sifts soil from rock and debris on the fly — ideal for rock removal, root extraction, demolition cleanup, and landscaping work. Reinforced side plates and two horizontal AR400 wear strips welded across the back of the shell deliver added rigidity and abrasion protection for heavier work cycles.
Available in three shell thicknesses — 3/16" (standard), 1/4" (heavy duty), and 3/8" (extra heavy duty). Choose at checkout based on your work cycle and material. Heavier shells handle harder material, more wear cycles, and bigger machines.

Will this fit my machine?

What's a skeleton bucket good for?
Skeleton buckets are designed to separate soil from larger material — rock, roots, demolition debris, mulch, gravel. The parallel-bar grate lets fines fall through while keeping the rest in the bucket. Common uses: site cleanup, rock picking, root removal, landscaping prep.
What are the AR400 wear strips for?
Two horizontal AR400 (abrasion-resistant) steel strips are welded across the back of the shell where the bucket sees the most material drag and impact. They take the wear so the structural shell doesn't, dramatically extending the life of the bucket in rocky or abrasive conditions.
Can I add a back plate or solid floor?

How does the warranty work?
One year from delivery. If you have a manufacturing defect, send us photos and we'll arrange repair, replacement, or refund.

What's the difference between trenching, grading, ditching, skeleton, rake, and ripper?
Trenching buckets are narrow with high break-out force for clean wall finish in utility and footing work. Grading buckets are wide with a straight cutting edge for finish work, backfilling, and site cleanup. Ditching buckets are wider and shallower for ditch shaping, drainage channels, and culvert maintenance. Skeleton buckets sift material on the fly — ideal for rock and root separation. Rakes gather rocks, roots, and debris into piles. Rippers are single-shank tools for breaking hard ground and ripping roots — where a bucket can't dig.
